Mirkó
Mirko is an 8-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy two and a half years ago. This severe genetic disorder causes progressive muscle weakness and degeneration, significantly impacting his quality of life. Despite the challenges, Mirko remains a brave and positive young boy, inspiring everyone around him with his resilience.
Since his diagnosis, Mirko's family, led by his mother Timea, has been tirelessly working to provide him with the best possible care.
This includes regular physical therapy, medications, and other necessary treatments to slow the deterioration of his condition.
However, the costs are significant and the family relies on the support of generous donors to continue to fund Mirko's medical needs.
Mirko’s journey is one of hope and determination. Timea established the Overcoming Duchenne with Mirko Foundation to raise the necessary funds for his treatments and to advocate for better awareness and support for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
